The spotted lanternfly is an invasive species that is making its way to Chicago.  This insect harms the agriculture in the area they take over.  Read last week's web story to learn more about spotted lanternflies.

Help Squash Spotted Lanternflies

Spotted lanternflys destroy the agriculture in areas they infest.  If you see them squash or  step on them to kill them and prevent the spread.

If you see a spotted lanternfly  you should report it on the  IL Department of Agriculture  email or call (815) 787-5476!

Report Sightings
